My Brother The Bear
Until 2011, leader vocalist/ singer-songwriter Daniel Bayer was an enlisted member of the United States Army. When his enlistment was complete he decided that his passion for music and storytelling was stronger than ever. After a short stint as the driving force behind the Cincinnati, Ohio pop mayhem group known as the Allens, and numerous cameo positions in other popular Cincinnati bands such as, The Autumn Blackouts, The Minor Leagues and Cool Papa Bell, Bayer shipped off to spend 6 years in the US military. "I wanted to make a difference, not just write about one." He reflects when asked about his decision. "So many people talk about all these experiences they have had in life, I wanted to live them." Transplanted to Hunstville, AL after his release from the military, Bayer enlisted brother and drummer Michael Bayer to begin his new adventure in music. "He is the only one I would ever choose to play with. We have played together since we were kids. We know where each other is going with a song, and when we sing it's like one voice broken into harmony." My Brother the Bear currently tours around the mid-south, can be seen currently lending their folkism to up and coming band Loveday and are currently recording their debut album due out next year. $5
